"Runes" Battle Mechanic


In the beta version I just released a few days ago, I've added a brand-new battle mechanic called Runes. Runes are delayed effects attached to a combatant from a move. They trigger when a certain condition has been met, such as taking Elemental damage.
The Rune used in the screenshots above is a Timed Rune, which triggers after a certain amount of turns have passed. There's also Damage Runes, triggering when taking damage of a certain Element, The last type I'll mention currently is Chain Runes, which only trigger once another Rune triggers! And there will be more ways to trigger these Runes than just these.
Runes will be a mechanic mostly for Magic users. I'm looking forward to seeing the crazy combinations players can pull off! Check out the beta version available now on my storepage!
